itfits makes a set of photos, videos, voice memos and PDFs small enough to send together,
under one limit: an email (25 MB), iCloud Mail (20 MB), an upload form (10, 5 or
2 MB) or a size you type. Photos come out sized for any screen, the video gets the room
that is left, and all of it happens on your device. Nothing is uploaded.
Are my files uploaded?
No. itfits runs in your browser, on your phone or computer. Its site has no server to
receive files, and its security policy blocks every other site. Once it has loaded, it
also works offline.
Which files work?
Photos (JPEG, PNG and HEIC; GIFs are kept as they are), videos (they come out as MP4),
voice memos and other audio (out as M4A), and PDFs.
Why do 25 MB of files not fit a 25 MB email?
Email turns attachments into text, which makes them about a third bigger. itfits leaves
that room, so for a 25 MB email the files themselves come to about 18 MB.
What if a video is too long?
itfits lowers the bitrate and then the resolution until the set fits. If even its lowest
quality is too big, it says which file and by how much, instead of sending something
unwatchable.
What does it cost?
Nothing. itfits is free, with no account and no ads.
